In most cases, the conversation around infertility is framed as a “women’s issue” – but according to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, “failure to conceive within 12 months of attempted conception is due in whole or in part to the male in approximately one half of all infertile couples.” While focusing on issues affecting women is vitally important, the topic of male infertility also needs to be discussed.
