by ARC Fertility | Apr 23, 2024 | Fertility Blog, Press, Press Releases

CUPERTINO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ARC® Fertility, a national provider of innovative family-forming benefits, is calling upon its community of patients and the wider infertility community to #LeaveYourMark during National Infertility Awareness Week (NIAW), April 21-27. Organized annually by RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, NIAW is the largest public awareness campaign that addresses this public health issue which affects 1 in 6 people worldwide.

“ARC is calling upon its community of happy parents who struggled with infertility and feel comfortable telling their story to help others understand this widespread medical condition.”

This year’s NIAW theme, #LeaveYourMark, aims to change the way we talk about and understand fertility by telling stories about the struggles people face when building a family. ARC is calling upon the tens of thousands of patients whom it has helped start families to share their stories and support RESOLVE during NIAW.

“It is now more urgent than ever for the community of infertility doctors and patients to seize this moment to educate lawmakers and the broader public,” said Dr. David Adamson, founder and CEO of ARC Fertility. “ARC is calling upon its community of happy parents who struggled with infertility and feel comfortable telling their story to help others understand this widespread medical condition.”

ARC patients can #LeaveYourMark and support NIAW in a variety of ways:

  • Join the NIAW 5-Day Challenge on social media, April 22-26, by sharing personal experiences and ways infertility leaves a mark on their life, work and relationships.
  • #WearOrange on Wednesday, April 24, to show their support of NIAW.
  • Join RESOLVE and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) for Federal Advocacy Day on May 14.

ARC encourages patients to support NIAW however they can and feel comfortable doing. To learn more about opportunities to support RESOLVE’s infertility advocacy, visit the NIAW website.
