A disease diagnosed by at least two or three of the following conditions: 1) irregular or complete absence of ovulation 2) excess male hormone levels (such as testosterone) 3) 24 follicles in both ovaries. PCOS is often associated with infertility and other medical problems such as obesity, insulin resistance and high blood pressure.
