Susan Sarajari, MD, PhD

Dr. Susan Sarajari joined Dominion Fertility in 2015 after having practiced for several years in California and Virginia. She was voted “Top Doctor” for infertility by Northern Virginia Magazine and “America’s Top Obstetricians & Gynecologists” by Consumers’ Research Council of America. Dr. Sarajari was also voted “Top Educator of the Month” by Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Inova Campus. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Sarajari is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Virginia Commonwealth University, Inova Campus as well as an Assistant Professor of Medical Education at the University of Virginia. She speaks German and medical Spanish. She serves as Medical Director of Dominion Fertility and currently sees patients in Arlington, and Bethesda,.
Education and Training
Dr. Susan Sarajari graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Microbiology. She then attended The Chicago Medical School, where she received multiple honors and awards, including a scholarship for academic excellence, and completed her medical degree as well as a PhD degree in Cell Biology & Anatomy. Dr. Sarajari completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at UCLA where she held the position of chief resident and received the “Resident Achievement Award” as well as the “Best Resident Teacher Award”. Her fellowship was also completed at UCLA during which she did research in oocyte cryopreservation. Following her fellowship, Dr. Sarajari held the position of Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA and was actively involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
