Dr. Kathiresan’s goals are to provide personalized care to her patients and help them make the best treatment decisions for their individual needs. She is a native of Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Kathiresan obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University. She then returned to Georgia to attend the Medical College of Georgia where she earned her medical degree. While at MCG, she was active in health disparities advocacy, which earned her a national leadership award from the American Medical Association. She went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was recognized for her academic achievement. She then completed her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Kathiresan has extensively published in many peer-reviewed scientific journals on topics including abnormal implantation, hysteroscopic polypectomies, fibroids, ovulation regulation, male infertility, and prognostic indicators with fertility treatment. She has received several awards for her research achievements. Dr. Kathiresan is board certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
