Wendy Y. Chang, MD, FACOG
Dr. Wendy Chang is a skilled and experienced specialist in reproductive endocrinology, with a special focus on the lifestyle and hormonal basis of women’s fertility.
Dr. Wendy Chang is partner and research director of Southern California Reproductive Center. Fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and French, and proficient in medical Spanish, she brings a wealth of research and clinical expertise to benefit each patient she treats. A board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and obstetrician/ gynecologist, Dr. Chang serves as assistant clinical professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive medicine at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and the USC Keck School of Medicine.
Dr. Chang has a considerable scientific background, both in the laboratory and in the clinic. She has given numerous presentations regarding her clinical research on fertility testing, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and in vitro fertilization. Additionally, she has presented her investigations at meetings of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Endocrine Society, and Pacific Coast Reproductive Society, among others. She has published many scientific articles in peer reviewed journals such as Fertility and Sterility and Human Fertility. Dr. Chang has been a contributing author in several books on infertility, menstrual disturbance, and PCOS. She is a content reviewer for the Journal for Assisted Reproductive and Genetics.
Dr. Chang received her bachelor’s degree in biology from UCLA and her medical degree from the University of California, Davis. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Harvard Medical School and affiliated training programs at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Children’s Hospital, Boston. She completed a three-year clinical fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine.
She is the recipient of numerous honors, including the Outstanding Resident Surgeon Award from the American Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, and Castle Connelly Top Doctors Award. Dr. Chang has also been recognized by her fellow physicians as a Southern California “Super Doctor” since 2010. Her expertise has been featured on The Doctors, Fox Studio 11, Home and Family talk show, Yahoo!, Livestrong, Whole Lifetimes magazine, and many other media outlets.
A strong believer in community and professional service, Dr. Chang has been a member of the UCLA Health System Board, the Westside Guild for Children’s Hospital, and National Charity League Los Angeles. She has served on the Executive Committee of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) and chairs the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) membership committee.
