Sara Babcock Gilbert, M.D.
After Dr. Gilbert obtained her medical degree at the University of Minnesota in 2012, she completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. She was awarded the medical student teaching award two years in a row and published on her resident research projects in the areas of hypothalamic obesity, fertility preservation and primary cesarean delivery rates.
After graduation from residency in 2016, she stayed at the University of Colorado where she completed her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in 2019. During her time in Colorado, she earned the resident teaching award and was awarded the National Institutes in Health (NIH) Contraception and Infertility LRP award for her research looking at the effects of high fat diet on reproductive outcomes. She continued to publish her research in peer reviewed journals in the areas of obesity and fertility outcomes as well as treatment guidelines for non-tubal ectopic pregnancies.
Dr. Gilbert’s particular interests in reproductive health include assisted reproductive technologies, surgical treatment of uterine anomalies and providing fertility preservation and fertility care to transgender and nonbinary patients.
Dr. Gilbert is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
