Jacquelyn S. Loughlin M.D. is an Associate Professor and Vice-Chair of the
Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health at UMDNJ – New
Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. Dr. Loughlin is also a staff physician at
Hackensack University Medical Center. She is a board certified physician in obstetrics
and gynecology as well as reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Loughlin
has been in practice since 1982 and has lengthy and extensive experience in treating
patients with disorders of reproductive endocrinology. Dr. Loughlin also has
great experience in treating those patients who require in-vitro fertilization,
as she has long been involved in IVF programs, including as co-director of the
first successful IVF program at Brown University’s Women and Infant’s
Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Loughlin was educated at Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut
and attended medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York.
She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University
Medical Center. Her subspecialty training fellowships, both in research and clinical
reproductive endocrinology and infertility, were performed at Massachusetts General
Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Serving as the Residency Director for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology,
and Women’s Health at UMDNJ – New Jersey Medical School in Newark,
NJ, Dr. Loughlin has won numerous teaching accolades including the Excellence
in Teaching Award from the Association of Professors in Gynecology and Obstetrics.
Her areas of interest include infertility, in-vitro fertilization, reproductive
endocrinology, and menopause.
