Dr. Sonya Kashyap completed medical
school, residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a Masters in Epidemiology
at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Canada. She completed her fellowship in
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Center for Reproductive Medicine
and Infertility at Cornell University Medical College in NY with Dr. Zev Rosenwaks
and concurrently completed a Masters in Epidemiology. She returned to Ottawa
to practice 2004-2007 before moving to UCSF. She is certified in Obstetrics and
Gynecology through both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
and The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Her clinical focus includes all aspects of assisted reproductive technology
(ART). Her research interests involved specifically: fertility preservation,
maternal and fetal outcomes after IVF, prevention of multiple gestation after
IVF, evidence based medicine and clinical trials in ART. Her work has been honoured
by numerous awards, publications, national and international presentations.
