
Patricia McShane, M.D. received her MD degree from Tufts University
School of Medicine in 1997, pursued an Ob-Gyn residency and fertility and endocrine
fellowship at Boston Hospital for Women and Brigham and Women’s Hospital
from 1977 to 1983. She assumed directorship of the In Vitro Fertilization Program
at Brigham and Women's in 1984 and was on the Harvard Medical School Faculty
as an Instructor and Assistant Professor of Ob-Gyn .
She moved to the Reproductive Science Center of Boston in 1988 where
she was the Medical Director until December 2006. She joined the faculty at the
University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center, Section of Advanced
Reproductive Medicine as an Assistant Professor in July, 2007. She consults,
writes and lectures extensively on subjects of assisted reproduction and menopause.
Dr. McShane has been a member of many professional organizations; she has
served as Chair of the Women’s Council of the American Society of Reproductive
Medicine and as President of the New England Fertility Society. She enjoys cultural
activities and biking, hiking and skiing in her free time.
