Dr. Alvero completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University and received his medical degree from the F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Walter Reed Medical Center and his fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Subsequently, Dr. Alvero became Director of the Infertility Services at Walter Reed National Naval Medical Center prior to joining the faculty at the University of Colorado in 2002. Dr. Alvero's clinical interests include infertility, polycystic ovary disease (PCOS), endometriosis, and reproductive surgery. Dr. Alvero is fluent in Spanish.
