
Paula Amato, M.D. , is a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist.
She became a faculty member at OHSU in July 2007, as an Adjunct Associate Professor,
in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology
and Infertility. She received her M.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty
of Medicine, Canada, in 1989, and then went on to complete a residency in Obstetrics
and Gynecology at the University of Toronto, Canada, in 1994. After completing
a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University
of California-San Diego in 1997, she began her career as an Assistant Adjunct
Professor in the Department of OB/GYN, at the University of California-San Diego
School of Medicine. In 2000, she relocated to Houston, TX, to become an Assistant
Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine, and remained
there until beginning at OHSU. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive
Medicine, North American Menopause Society, Endocrine Society, amongst others.
She specializes in treating patients with infertility, menopausal issues, and
reproductive endocrine disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis.
