Brinda Kalro, MD is a faculty member of the Center for Fertility and Reproductive Endocrinology. She graduated with honors from Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital, University of Madras, India, where she also completed her internship. After a year of elective training in general surgery and emergency medicine, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School in Dundee, Scotland. Dr. Kalro gained extensive experience in all aspects of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) while working in the Assisted Conception Unit at Ninewells. She then completed a fellowship in reproductive endo-crinology and infertility at the University of Pittsburgh under the direction of Sarah L. Berga, MD.

In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Kalro is conducting several research projects in the areas of menopause, perimenopause, hormonal regulation of fertility, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which is her area of special interest. She is partly funded by the NIH to study the neuroendocrine, endocrine, and metabolic features of PCOS. She sees patients with endocrine disorders, infertility, and menopausal symptoms. Dr. Kalro is a member of the Assisted Reproductive Techonology (IVF) team.

Reynolds Medical History Society; the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists; the American Diabetes Association; the Endocrine Fellows Foundation; the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists; and the British Fertility Society.
