Dr. Selwyn P. Oskowitz earned his medical degree at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, and completed residencies in OB/GYN at the Rebecca Sieff Hospital in Safed, Israel and the University of Colorado in Denver, CO. He completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Beth Israel Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Oskowitz is a member of the teaching faculty in OB/GYN and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Oskowitz participated in the first delivery of an in vitro fertilization pregnancy conceived in Massachusetts, as well as the first GIFT conception in Massachusetts.
