Dr. James Liu is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with subspecialty certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

A graduate of The Ohio State University School of Medicine, Dr. Liu served his OB/GYN residency at the University of Rochester-Strong Memorial Hospital. He completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the University of California, San Diego where he later was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Reproductive Medicine and Director of the department's Radioimmunoassay Core Labortoary.

Before joining UH MacDonald Women's Hospital in 2001 as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Liu was division head of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Professor in the OB/GYN Department at the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Liu is listed in the Best Doctors in America and is a consultant to the FDA and several pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Liu's research interests are currently focused on implantation failure problems in women. Findings from this research suggest that improvements in uterine blood flow significantly increase the chance of healthy pregnancy.
