Dr. David Cohen is Associate
Professor and Chief of the Section of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility
and Associate Faculty of the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the
University of Chicago.
Since joining the faculty at the University of Chicago in 1996, Dr. Cohen
has participated in many educational activities. He has acted as the Director
for the Section's In-Vitro Fertilization Program and Oocyte Cryopreservation
Program, as well as for the Departmental Grand Rounds and the Departmental Journal
Club. He is a member of the Pritzker School of Medicine's Admissions Committee,
the Summer Research Steering Committee, and the University of Chicago's Institutional
Review Board.
Some of Dr. Cohen's professional associations include the American College
of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Chicago Area Reproductive Endocrinologists, the
American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American Association of Gynecologic
Laparoscopists and the Endocrine Society. He is board certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology
and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility.
His interests include:
- Infertility
- Minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery
- Fertility preservation for cancer patients
Dr. Cohen performs surgery for the Section of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility,
teaches, and has authored many papers. He is considered an expert in his field.
