The Cleveland Clinic Fertility Center is dedicated to providing the most
advanced In Vitro Fertilization procedures in a very patient friendly manner.
Physicians of the Cleveland Clinic Fertility Center have a long history of “firsts”
including being responsible for
- Ohio’s first IVF Birth (1983)
- The world’s first IVF / Surrogate Birth (1986)
- Ohio’s first birth from Pre Implantation Diagnosis (PGD) (2004)
- The world’s first successful case utilizing PGD for Congenital
Pseudohypoparathyroidism (2005).
The couple came from France for the procedure
- Establishment of the region’s first pregnancy resulting from
both frozen eggs and frozen sperm (2009)
The Fertility Center draws patients regionally and beyond. In order to most
conveniently accommodate patients, the Fertility Center has established multiple
formal and informal satellites so patients can be monitored close to home and
only come to the Fertility Center for the egg retrieval and embryo transfer.
The Fertility Center is located in a beautiful suburban area just off major highways.
There are a wide range of hotels within minutes of the Fertility Center for those
couples who want to stay in the area before or after procedures. Unusual for
a suburban fertility center, the Cleveland Clinic Fertility Center includes three
research laboratories that are dedicated to doing research that can quickly be
incorporated into improving patient outcomes.
