David Adamson, MD, Executive Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
David Adamson is Founder, Chairman and Chief Medical Officer of Advanced Reproductive Care (ARC Fertility), the largest national network fertility company in the United States, as well as a reproductive endocrinologist, surgeon and Medical Director of Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) Fertility Physicians of Northern California. He is Clinical Professor, ACF at Stanford University School of Medicine and Associate Clinical Professor at University of California San Francisco. He is Past President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), AAGL (formerly American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists), Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS), Society of Reproductive Surgeons (SRS) and several other major gynecological societies. He is Chair of the Committee on Reproductive Medicine for the International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FIGO), the International Committee Monitoring ART (ICMART) and President of the World Endometriosis Research Foundation (WERF). He is an Executive Board member of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS), Co-Chair of the World Health Organization (WHO) Rapid Assessment Task Force on Infertility and Board member of the Montalvo Arts Center. He is a member of many prestigious professional societies including the American Gynecological Society (AGOS), the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) and the Society for Gynecological Surgeons (SGS). He has been a board member and advisor to government, industry, professional and patient organizations, including National RESOLVE where he served both as a local board member for 8 years and then national board member for 10 years. He has over 300 peer-reviewed and other scientific/medical publications, and has lectured extensively nationally and internationally on assisted reproductive technologies, endometriosis, reproductive surgery and infertility. He has been recognized as one of the best 400 physicians for women in America, received the Outstanding Achievement in Medicine award from the Santa Clara County Medical Society, and a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for contributions to the community. In 2015 he received the Barbara Eck Founders Award from RESOLVE for leadership in the field of infertility, years of service to RESOLVE and dedication to the patient community.
Dr. Adamson recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with his son.
April Lee, Senior Vice President, ARC Information Systems
April Lee is Sr. Vice President of ARC Information Systems and has been with ARC Fertility for over 13 years. Before joining ARC, she was Vice President of Sales & Support Services and a Director of Product Development in the field of healthcare information with Orion Systems, partnered with HP, Sun Microsystems and PerkinElmer. She has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare systems, business development and assisting physicians with the development of their practices.
April received her B.S. from San Jose State University and enjoys jogging, hiking and skiing.
Gitte Pope, Vice President, Marketing
Gitte Pope is VP of Marketing and joined ARC Fertility in 2015. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and consumer marketing. Prior to coming to ARC she was Director of Marketing at Auxogyn (now Progyny), a company in the reproductive health market. She also held various marketing leadership positions with start-up companies as well as larger corporations such as Bayer Healthcare and Edwards Lifesciences.
Gitte received her Bachelor of Science in International Business from the University of Aarhus in Denmark. She enjoys practicing yoga and watching her kids play field hockey and baseball.
Tammy Scardino, Director of Finance and Administration
Tammy Scardino joined ARC Fertility in 2014 and brought with her 22 years of Accounting and Finance experience within the healthcare and medical device industries. She has worked with both large and mid-size companies. Prior to joining ARC, she held the position of Director of Finance, at Fertility Physicians of Northern California, where she assisted in the successful acquisition to Palo Alto Medical Foundation. Prior to that she was the Accounting Manager, with Daughters of Charity Health System, where she led a team of 25 accounting professionals and managed the Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Ledger departments for 5 bay area hospitals.
Tammy received her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from San Jose State University. When she is not working she enjoys spending time at the lake with her husband of 22 years, son, and daughter. She also coaches girls’ volleyball with her husband in her free time.
